Leading an active lifestyle means I go through an above average level of laundry. If I have more than one activity or run in one day, plus my work clothes--that's three "outfits" in one day! All of them wet, smelly, and downright nasty. And my running gear... even worse! So my stinky laundry was the perfect test subject for the 2Toms Sink Free Sports Detergent and Stink Free Spray.
My room, car, and gym bag are littered with sweaty, stinky running clothes and gear. It can ruin relationships with roommates, make dates turn their noses, and even reduce my confidence if I feel like my clothes or gear smell. So I was so excited to give these odor-eliminating solutions by 2Toms a try.

Normally, I use Tide Sports Detergent for my laundry. But that typically just masks the smell. And it leaves them smelling like Febreeze or perfume. A little too much. I don't want to go on a date or a run with friends smelling like I just bathed in Febreeze!

Now, how is 2Toms Sports Detergent different? There's no perfume smell. It simply gets the job done, and leaves them smelling clean. Maybe you don't use a sports detergent and your detergent does the same? Well can you use your regular detergent without a washing machine?

Yep! You heard right, so you can just pour some of the 2Toms Sports Detergent into a sink or bathtub to help wash your gear: hydration packs, shoes, etc. Pretty awesome stuff!

2Toms Stink Free Detergent uses a high end residue lifter to restore clothing performance and breath ability. It contains no perfume, is safe on all high performance fabrics, residue free, removes sweat stains, and is environmentally friendly.

On to the spray. A real lifesaver that I take everywhere with me now and use everywhere. The 2Toms Stink Free Spray is exactly as it exactly as it sounds: an odor-eliminating spray for almost any running gear that soaks up sweat.

This stuff works great! Like the detergent, the 2Toms Stink Free Spray has no perfume and simply cuts the sink out. I love being able to spray it on my Orange Mud hydration gear or in my shoes after a run and not smelling the sweaty mess later.  A few spritz is all you need!

But, full disclosure, I did something I wasn't supposed to. (aaaahhh! I know. We all make mistakes!) I learned later you're not supposed to spray the 2Toms Stink Free Spray in any helmet or head gear. No, it won't ruin them, but it can cause eye irritation if you sweat in it and it gets into your eyes later. Fortunately, that didn't happen to me, but I'm glad I researched more and found that out before continuing to spray it on my running hats.

Nevertheless, even if I only used the 2Toms Stink Free Spray on my shoes would be enough, but it continues to be great for other pieces of my gear, gym bags, and even my car.

I highly recommend either of these 2Toms odor-eliminating options to help keep the STINK out of your running life! And to sweeten the pot.. how about a discount code! Use promo code "2Toms20" for 20% off any 2Toms product.

  1. Great review! I used the detergent and it seemed to work really well on my workout clothes, but the spray has not quite worked on my running shoes!

    1. Oh, sorry to hear about the spray. Maybe mine aren't as sweaty as I thought? However, I started using it right away when I got a new pair.. maybe that's the secret? :)
